Vacancy of the Commercial Agriculture Alliance (CAA)

The Government of Nepal (GON) is implementing the Commercial Agriculture Development Project (CADP) in 11 district of Eastern Development Region with the grant assistance of Asian Development Bank for the period of six years.

In connection with the implementing of the above project, a Commercial Agriculture Alliance (CAA) has been registered at the Office of the Company Registrar Office on 2063/06/12 as a non-profit sharing Company to manage the Commercial Agriculture Fund (CAF).  The purpose of the CAF, which will be established under commercial agriculture investment and management component is to i) development community- based market infrastructure, and ii) expand non infrastructure investments to add value to agriculture products.

CAA is seeking to select the appropriate and innovative candidates for following positions in its Main Office located at Biratnagar and 11 Branch Offices to be established in the 11 project districts namely Taplejung, Terathum, Panchthar, Illam, Dhankuta, Udyapur, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Saptari and Siraha.

I. CAA Head Office

A)     Chief Account Officer ( 1 Position)

Minimum Qualification

  1. At least holder of  Bachelor Degree in finance/ account/ commerce field from a  recognized university;

  2. At least 2 years of officer level experience in the financial management /accounting management in a public/ private/I-NGO institutions;

  3. Good understanding of modern accounting system particularly of donor funded projects.

  4. Nepali Citizen

B. Compliance Officer (1 Position)

Minimum Qualification

  1. At least holder of Bachelor Degree in finance/commerce/ management/ economics/ law  from a recognized university;

  2. At least 2 years of experience in the bank/ financial institutions/ co-operatives or an internationally funded projects  in the compliance field;

  3. Good understanding of transparency participation of stakeholders and mechanisms to minimize / eliminates the potential abuse of authority in the project management;

  4. Nepali citizen

C. Office Assistance /Computer Operator (1 Position)

Minimum Qualification

  1. At least Intermediate level/ +2 level qualification in humanities /Management/Science or in any related field;

  2. At least one year experience in office assistance;

  3. Advance knowledge in computer operation (MS, Excel, email), filing and record keeping with modern system

  4. Nepali citizen

Salary and other benefits package of the CAA Main Office staff will be as per the CAA rules and regulations. However, the monthly salary will be at least Rs. 20,000/- for Chief Accountant Officer, Rs. 15,000/- for Compliance Officer and Rs. 8,000/- for Office Assistance /Computer Operator

II. District Level Offices

A)     Branch Manager (11 Position)

Minimum Qualification

  1. At least holder of Bachelor Degree in finance/ commerce / management/ economics/law/science / agriculture or other development related field.

  2. Familiar with the agriculture and its importance in Nepal.

  3. At least 2 years of working experience as a District/ Project Manger in a financial institution or internationally funded agriculture development related projects.

  4. Good understanding of agricultural project planning, analysis, appraisal, management including financial and personnel management.

  5. Good command in English, Nepali and local languages and basic computer knowledge

  6. Experience of Project Districts

  7. Nepali citizen

B) Administrative and Financial Officer (11 Position)

Minimum Qualification

  1. At least holder of Bachelor Degree in finance/ account/ commerce from a recognized university.

  2. At least 2 years of Officer level experience in the financial management/ account keeping system in a private/ public/ NGO institution.

  3. Good understanding of modern account keeping system of public/ private/ non –governmental institutions.

  4. Experience of project districts

  5. Nepali citizen.

C)  Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (11 Position)

Minimum Qualification

  1. At least Bachelor degree in Humanities/ Commerce/ Science or other development related field.

  2. Familiar in agriculture and its importance in Nepal.

  3. At least 2 years of working experience in monitoring and evaluation of development projects preferably agriculture development project.

  4. Good understanding of M&E indicators, M/S system and performance based monitoring system.

  5. Experience of project districts

  6. Nepali citizen.

D. Office Assistance /Computer Operator (11 Position)

Minimum Qualification

  1. At least Intermediate level/ +2 level qualification in Humanities /Management/Commerce/Science or in any related field;

  2. At least one year experience in office assistance;

  3. Advance knowledge in computer operation (MS, Excel, email, internet), filing and record keeping with modern system.

  4. Experience of project district

  5. Nepali citizen

Salary and other benefits package of the CAA Brach Office staff will be as per the CAA rules and regulations. However, the monthly salary will be at least Rs. 25,000/- to 30,000/- for Branch Mangers, Rs. 15,000/- for Administrative/Finance Officer, Rs 15,000/- for Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and Rs 8,000/- for Office Assistance /Computer Operator
