The American Corner Biratnagar provides information that will assist in building a better society through democracy, peace, and prosperity.
American Corner Biratnagar was established in partnership and close cooperation between The U.S.Embassy Kathmandu and Chamber of Industries, Morang, in September 2003, the American Corner Biratnagar was launched in 8th February 2004. The American Corner shares the story of the United States and help individuals expand their general knowledge, skills and understand American society, culture and values. An important mission of American Corners is to build bridges of understanding between people of the United States of America and Nepal.
The Objectives of the Corners are to provide library facilities and free information to the students, Professionals and the general public about the United States through books, magazines, CD-ROMs, and complimentary access to the Internet.

The Corner provides information about the United States, including topics of its people, culture, History, Political and supports those learning the English language or preparing for TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, and SAT examinations through: Books, and also has OPAC Library world, E-library facilities .
The Corner also host a wide variety of events: such as cultural programs and guest lectures from U.S. Embassy officials, Fulbright scholars, and others, film and video showings, poetry readings, conversational hours, Readers Club, children’s story hours, and many other activities.
